Stonewater is a UK housing association managing around 40,000 homes for more than 93,000 customers, providing rented, shared ownership and specialist supported housing across England.
Stonewater is one of the largest social housing providers in the United Kingdom. Founded in 2015, the housing association owns and manages around 40,000 homes across England, serving more than 93,000 customers. Its origins stretch further back, through predecessor organisations Raglan Housing and Jephson Group, whose roots date to the 1960s.
The organisation offers housing across a range of tenures, including social rent and affordable rent homes, shared ownership and other purchase options. Beyond general needs housing, Stonewater runs specialist services: retirement living for older and vulnerable people, supported accommodation for young people delivered through foyers, refuge accommodation for those fleeing domestic abuse, and support services for people with mental health needs. It also operates a development programme building new affordable homes in partnership with Homes England and local authorities.
Stonewater's stated purpose is that everyone has a place to call home, and its stated vision is to be the most trusted, inspiring and sustainable provider of affordable homes. Work spans social housing, supported housing, retirement and older people's housing, domestic abuse and mental health services, and residential development, with an emphasis on collaboration with public-sector partners.
